The length of these letters is amazing. A lesson to be learned by those of us untouched by mental illness and addictions, and to those who have never understood the hold addictions can have on the unsuspecting until it is too late.. When we meet Morgan, he is engaged to Jase but he has never really gotten over Shae, his first love. Memoirs are a strange breed of book; the author can basically write anything they want about themselves. Why, I wonder, can't writers set the same story in London or Edinburgh? I don't think having this book take place in Great Britain would diminish the book at all.

Also, these characters seem much older than the late 20-somethings the timeline in this book would suggest. I read this book at the recommendation of my psychologist. Caudill from 1983 until 1995 when his addiction became out of control as far as I was concerned; needless to say I quit my job. Any woman can be a bombshell. It needs to be updated by the authors, to truly be helpful.. T
