I have bought this book 7 times since receiving it for a gift years ago. I have to smile when I read a couple of the reviews critizing this book. I am not much of a writer, nor book critic, but here goes. The act of coloring is a very soothing process with an almost meditative quality to it. Unfortunately, the plates are not indexed nor integrated with the text, limiting their usefulness.
A major limitation of the book is its lack of information on costs. Where is He? Why doesn't He answer our prayers, if He loves us so much? This book answers that question. What a wonderful novel this is! It is utterly enchanting from beginning to end, truly a pleasure to read. I had to read a non fiction book for LA, and I chose this book. This loosely connected series of graphic vignettes follows the three Zabine sisters and some of their friends around on the first day of summer vacation on the French island of Guadeloupe.
