I know just exactly what these cars looked like when they raced. Reading simply as a dude interested in the topic, I found the book stuffed with abundant examples and well-supported reasoning about the spiritually strange practices of the Victorians. I have listened to him for many years. Paul was the famous one; Betty was the help-meet, who raised the kids and made life outside the classroom "easier" for him. Over a period of 30+ years, the panorama of lives and events, and how they are all interrelated is breathtaking. The "facts" being presented by the memoir-writer are as "correct", as "remembered".

Betty Fussell was the first wife of historian and essayist, Paul Fussell. Synopses of most did not seem to deal with the questions in my mind of her family relationships and responsibilities, of how she came to do what she did. They do have a lot of material to read. Picture are very goood.. Dorothy was married with children.
I wonder what her husband was doing / thinkin
