The book gives you insight straight from the engineers that worked on the prodject. I forced myself to stop at 30-40 pages a day, just to savor the story and reflect on the characters. The length of these letters is amazing. This book should be a required reading in every grade school and high school. We read romance to escape all this!
In other parts of the book, fantasy wins out as things happen far too conveniently. Shae discovered the two together ( why they were doing the deed where Shae could catch them is beyond me) and walked out. Because this book encompasses so many of Cunards' ships; and because it presents over 180 of the best photographs ever published on this subject, it should be a treasured addition to any collection. Mordden's style is readable and flowing. I liked the stories she uses for the reader to understand who she is and where she comes from.
