Betty Swan grew up in Sodus Point, New York, and Winter Haven, Florida, and received a B.A. in history and political science from Kentucky State University and an M.S. in Community Service from the University of Rochester (New York). She is the mother of two daughters, Tiffany and Laini. Her lifelong love of history has led her to research and write on a wide genre of subjects, primarily focusing on African American history. Her work includes fiction and nonfiction books, plays, poetry, and children's stories. Ms. Swan is a public school educator.

If you have read silmarrilion you won't find much new in this book.Most content is by christopher analysing the his father's writings.Good book to complete the collection.
