Editorial : About the AuthorDr. Warren W. Wiersbe is an internationally known Bible teacher and the former pastor of three churches, including the Moody Church in Chicago. For ten years he served as general director and Bible teacher for the Back to the Bible radio broadcast. Dr. Wiersbe has written more than 150 books, including the popular "Be" series of expositional Bible studies, which has sold more than four million copies. In 2002, he was awarded the Jordon Lifetime Achievement Award by the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association. He and his wife, Betty, live in Lincoln, Nebraska.
The book starts with a 62 page introduction to the regions avifauna, climate, hints on identification and silhouettes, several tables on distribution and life zones and notes on observations, preserving and shipping specimens and conservation.
Next come the species accounts with a synopsis of each of the families and a page dedicated to each species covering identification, flight (where relevant) and habits, voice and display, food, reproduction, arrival, eggs, hatching, fledging and departure, molt, predation and mortality, ectoparasites, habitat and distribution. Furthermore this book is very helpful for a deep understanding of the basics of java programming. Though, I would assume it does not provide any new information to scientists, engineers or environmentalists.
I do not wish to diminish the importance of the text. Of course, today liberals would throw labels like "square" or "old fashioned" at him. It's not great writing, but it's seldom dull or imitative.. If
