The Characters: With interchanging chapters on Dipali and Moushumi, and a part 1/part 2 structure to the book, the reader gets pulled into the lives of these ladies and journeys with them as they go through their trials and find themselves. The story was already great without superfluous drama.
Sue Brown writes well and the main characters emerge as very two very loveable men. Each division get their mention along with each brand; Chevrolet, Dodge, Plymouth, Ford, Pontiac, Buick, Olds and even the poor, neglected Hudson gets its moment in the sun. For those to young to remember the way it was and wonder why even today this time period in drag racing is so fondly recalled, pick up a copy of the book and discover why.
