Excellent. But this is a compelling view both of this woman’s growth and how she learned to handle problems without herself becoming a victim. We've had this book for years, but I hadn't looked at it for awhile. Tillman. She had been more of a student than a party girl but very much effected by patriotism and a sense of debt towards the fighting men and later the returning vets. They do have a lot of material to read. Food is an analog to sex and sometimes a substitute for sex. This is her story about her growth from a hard scrabble family into the middle then upper classes. You get a sence of who she was and her passion for nature. It just took too long to be delivered.. This is a great book for general information concerning precolumbian peruvian textiles. Synopses of most did not seem to deal with the questions in my mind of her family relationships and responsibilities, of how she came to do what she did.
