Also, if you get the chance, order the video as well (it's called "Door to Door").. O Grada writes well and has a gift for the telling example, although parts of the book may be too dry and analytical for some readers.
Most of its conclusions are unremarkable; but some are counter-intuitive and demonstrate the value of letting the data speak truthfully to a skilled researcher like O Grada.
I urge all thoughtful readers to read this book.. I have read thousands of books since I first got a copy of A Candle In her Room, and still I don't think I have come across one that came close to meeting the impact this one little "weekly reader" book had. Very informative. Very hard to read. It is as though he is two men in one and sharing a mind link with Chaz, his wife. It is NOT a do-it-yourself book. While the book has a lot of details about how the cars were designed and engineered, and details on when changes were implemented on the production runs, what is missing is de
